Equity Family Nights at MLK Jr. Middle School 2024-2025
Thursday on October 24th, December 19th, February 27th, May 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm
MLK Jr. Middle School is pleased to offer Equity Family Nights to build community among our priority populations. Our goal is to offer safe spaces for families to feel listened to, understood, and honored. Our priority populations identified for this year are:
Black/African American Families
Latine/x Families
Asian American & Pacific Islander Families
Southwest Asian and North African Families
Multiracial Families
LGBTQ+ Families
Families with IEPs & 504s
These nights are free of charge and will include:
6:00 Dinner in the courtyard
6:40 Gathering & Celebration in the Auditorium
7:00 Break out into Equity family groups in classrooms
Community Building Activities
Discussion & Connection
7:50 Dessert in the Courtyard
All age family members are welcome and we will offer activities for younger children within each group.
